1. What is the school size and class size?
o We are intentionally small with 15 students per class; 60 girls when fully enrolled.

3. Where will graduates attend high school?
o Grace Academy is designed to prepare young women for entry into private high schools. Graduates will often receive invitations to attend local private day schools and some to boarding schools, while others may opt for local magnet or charter schools.
4. What activities do you offer?
o We will offer a wide range of activities during the extended day portion of the school’s schedule which will include: athletics (volleyball, basketball, track), studio art, dance, drama, music, speech, yoga and others.
5. How do students get to Grace Academy?
o Grace Academy is accessible by public transportation.
o Some students will walk to school while others will carpool to school.

7. What grades are you accepting applications?
o For the 2011-12 school year, we will accept applications for students in entering grades 5th, 6th, and 7th.
8. What kind of student does Grace Academy seek to enroll?
o Students from Hartford who qualify for the Federal free- and reduced- lunch program.
o Students and their families who are motivated and willing to accept the challenges of our academic and extended day-, week- and year-program.
9. Is Grace Academy affiliated with a church or denomination?
o Grace Academy is an independent, non-denominational, yet inter-faith school. The day begins with a general assembly that includes prayer from the Abrahamic faith traditions. Students will take classes in ethics, morals and comparative religion.
10. Are there students at Grace Academy from various faiths?
o Students come from all faith and non-faith backgrounds.
11. How do I apply to Grace Academy?
o You can fill out our admissions application which can be downloaded on our website or requested directly by calling 860-263-7535.
o In addition, you are required to submit a current transcript, two teacher recommendations, take an entrance exam and schedule an interview.
12. Are entrance exams required for admission?
o Applicants must take our Entrance Exam to be considered for admission.
13. Is financial aid available?
o We are tuition free and require only a $10 activity fee payable each month.
14. When will I know if my daughter has been accepted to Grace Academy?
o Admission decisions will be mailed in May.
