The Power of Grace is the signature fundraising event for Grace Academy.  This fun filled Thursday evening cocktail reception offers a silent and live auction, a unique video debut, and a special performance from Grace Academy students illustrating the true “power” of Grace.

This year, we will host our seventh annual Power of Grace benefit at the Bond Ballroom on Thursday, May 2nd from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.  We hope that you will join us for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at this gratifying evening of community support and enrichment which allows us to fulfill our mission of transforming the lives of girls in Hartford.

Grace Academy’s signature fundraising event was established by board member Marcia Herrera in 2013 to celebrate the first eighth grade graduating class. She and a dedicated group of volunteers helped Grace Academy raise $75,045 with 92% of the proceeds going directly back to the school.  Each year the event has grown exponentially and in 2014 was officially named The Power of Grace.

In 2019, the sixth annual Power of Grace raised over $412,000 with 92% of the proceeds going directly back to the school. With such a high percentage of return, Grace Academy is able to provide extended student instruction, weekend field trip experiences, technology needs, graduate support and summer school programming.  We wish to thank the generosity of local corporations, businesses and individuals for providing Grace Academy with the means to continue to transform the lives of girls in Hartford.  Please join us in May of 2020 when Grace Academy celebrates its tenth year as a tuition-free middle school for girls from Hartford.
