Athletics and Clubs

Athletics

Every Grace Academy student is required to participate in quarterly sports, run by our staff along with community volunteers. Our Athletic Program begins once the academic day ends at 4:00 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and our Athletic Director works on scheduling competitive games and matches with other local middle schools. Our program is centered on significant seasonal sports which have included soccer, cross-country, golf, basketball, volleyball, softball, lacrosse, track, and more.  All students are trained in game strategy and basic skills, with a strong focus on good sportsmanship, team participation and skill development.

Clubs

Tuesday activities, “Clubs,” are designed to further enrich the educational life of each student.  A choice of five clubs are offered each quarter and serve to exercise talents that support the cultural, social and cognitive development of the student.  These opportunities are mainly made possible by volunteers that serve as club moderators, speakers, mentors, and role models in addition to our core staff.  Clubs have included: Girl Scouts, Creative Writing, Dance, Journalism/Newspaper, Public-Speaking, Theater, Culinary Arts, Photography, Yoga, Gardening, and many more!
